About Me ✰
I fell in love with animated mediums and comics the second I got my first library card as a kid and immediately rented out every Pokémon and Invader Zim DVD / Comic I could find. In an age where live action is often hailed as superior I believe animation and comics are a complete medium, and are capable of telling stories that only they are capable of telling.I love exploring personal and difficult subject matter through horror and comedy and I believe the two are intertwined, as sometimes a good laugh is the only way to get through our worst moment. I believe horror as a genre allows us to face the darkest parts of ourselves, while comedy helps us to come out on the other side realizing that everything will be ok in the end. Through comics and narrative illustration I aim to tell stories that make you face the monster hidden in your closet, and who knows? Maybe it just wants to have a chat.I have BFA in Illustration from Montclair State University and teach digital art to kids and teens part time at One River School of Art and Design. I also tabled at the 2024 Mocca Fest in New York City.
